Why dental prosthesis?

Dental prosthetics are one of the modern dentistry solutions that allow the placement of artificial teeth that are aesthetically and functionally suitable for replacing missing or damaged teeth. It is applied to improve both appearance and chewing function.

How long does it take to complete dental prosthetics?

The duration of treatment varies depending on the patient's oral structure and the type of prosthesis chosen. In appropriate cases, fixed prostheses can be completed within a few weeks, while removable prostheses may require a little more time.

Zirconium or metal-supported porcelain?

Zirconium prostheses offer the closest aesthetics to natural teeth, provide a more natural appearance thanks to their light transmittance, and since they do not contain metal, there is no risk of allergic reactions. They are especially preferred for aesthetic reasons in front teeth. Metal-supported porcelain prostheses are preferred more for back teeth due to their durability. Due to their metal substructure, light transmittance is less, but they are a long-lasting and economical option.

Do prosthetics cause pain?

There is no pain felt when dental prostheses are applied because the procedure is performed under local anesthesia. There may be a slight sensitivity or adaptation period in the first days, but this passes in a short time.
